Last October, when I was chosen to go to the Slow Food Convention as a U.S. delegate, I wanted to find someone from another country to come to the U.S. to talk about Slow Food and the world food issues. There were more than 650 delegates from 130 countries and 200,000 people at the Slow Food Terra Madre meeting. I did not think I would meet someone who just stole the show until I met Giuseppe Migliaccio, the "Tomato Maniac!"
Giuseppe and his wife Margaret are coming to the U.S. and will stay with us at Casa Somerset Aug. 5 through Aug. 19. We are planning many events, dinner parties and cooking classes. To find out about them, go to www.casasomerset.com and email us.
