Cassina and Luis Vuitton featured an exclusive piece for 2014. LC4 CP is a master piece that joins Design and Fashion. Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, well known with the pseudonym of Le Corbusier, was a Swiss-born French architect who belonged to the first generation of the so-called International school of architecture: one of the most important and representative architects of the XX century.

In 1923, Le Corbusier published Vers une Architecture (Toward a New Architecture), which collects his critical paperwork from L'Esprit Nouveau. In this publication is possible to find famous Le Corbusier declarations such as "a house is a machine for living in" and "a curved street is a donkey track; a straight street, a road for men."

In 1928 Le Corbusier, launched the LC4 or the "rest machine". The concept of the product had a polished, industrial look that was very different from anything the world had seen before. Even today, the famous chairs continue to be highly sought-after.

In 2014 LC4 meets the top of saddle leather by Luis Vuitton. It is again Italy with Cassina that launches a new project that joins fashion and design.

Specifically this piece is an honor to the French Architect Charlotte Perriand for the Icones Collection exclusively expressed on the LC4 CP. Made in Italy is again an example of timeless and exclusive design where historical joins contemporary and fashion joins design.
