This symposium will revisit aspects of the Italian diaspora in North America in its numerous manifestations: anthropological, cultural, aesthetic, etc. The panel will also include a discussion on the internationalization of the university and the benefits to both the institution and its faculty and students. Speakers will include Dr. Gino Crisci, president of the University of Calabria and other members of UniCal's faculty and administration, as well as scholars from the Calandra Institute and other CUNY colleges. Moderated by Calandra Dean Anthony Julian Tamburri. This event is free of charge and open to the public.
