Italian food & beverage exports hit another record, with sales jumping +21 percent in the first five months of this year compared to the same period in 2022. This is according to an analysis by the Italian farmers’ association Coldiretti of Istat data.
Despite nearly five months of the war in Ukraine since the Russian invasion, Italian food exports are on the rise, even compared to the annual record of 52 billion achieved in 2021. This is due in part to the weakness of the euro currency, which favors exports to non-EU markets.
