
The Etna, in Sicily, is the higher volcano in Europe. A black mountain, covered in ash from which emerge lava rocks. This landscape, arid an inhospitable, is the ideal soil for Pistachio growing, the "gold green" of Bronte, appreciate all over the world.
Its main characteristic is the intense green color and the sweet, delicate, aromatic taste. In 2009 the "green pistachio of Bronte" obtained the recognition D.P.O. (Denomination of Protect Origin) to protect its uniqueness, which has been too often threatened by lower quality productions.
