The Garden of the Times in Bari is a special place: partly garden, partly botanical garden, partly academic instituion. Cypress trees and carob trees, palms and banana trees, lavender and succulents, together with the oriental style of its furniture, give the garden and its environments a look between the exotic and the Mediterranean.
Covering an area of 322,000 ft², it includes many Mediterranean and exotic species; pride of the structure is the collection of tropical plants and succulents, housed inside a large greenhouse in iron-glass-plastic, 21,500 ft² wide and 22 ft high. A smaller greenhouse is used for courses and workshops.
The activities
The Garden of Time offers courses, workshops and seminars of practical and theoretical landscape design; general and systematic botany; gardening and in particular pruning; technical nursery; recognition of plant species, particularly dedicated to experienced and qualified staff and professionals.
It also offers activities for children and young people, to give them the opportunity to learn and know and love the natural world, while having fun.
