Baglietto, historical shipyard based in La Spezia, Liguria, celebrates its 160th anniversary in 2014 inaugurating the nautical year renewing its presence at Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Yacht Show, where it introduced the new 46m flagship. The yacht is distinguished by its sleek lines, soft and sinuous at times interrupted by slightly squared movements, with generous volumes and solidity of construction.

This is the first yacht of a new line designed for Baglietto by Francesco Paszkowski Design, author, in collaboration with the architect Margaret Casprini, of the interior, too. The marine engineering, however, is produced by Baglietto technical offices.

A combination of pure minimalism and wild nature are the inspiration for this boat, a perfect example of the excellent craftsmanship of the shipyard of La Spezia: an apparent oxymoron created by the happy combination of tones and warm materials - like natural raw wood or leather - interspersed with more "cold" details – like the gloss lacquered walls or the use of "pure" colors like white and black. Unusual combinations enhanced by the perfumes and essences especially created by the Florentine firm Dr. Vranjes, for an olfactory pathway aimed at highlighting the "minimal naturalness" of this yacht.

A true sensory journey that involves not only sight and smell but also touch, thanks to a special treatment of the natural oak of all the major coatings. Concrete sensations that are also found in the dark parquet and its "beached" effect, evoking the contact with nature, and in the ceilings adorned with a coating similar to the fabric. The result is an effect of sophisticated refinement, the common thread that characterizes the entire boat.

After Cannes and Monte Carlo, the La Spezia shipyard will continue the boating season at the International Boat Show in Fort Lauderdale (30 October-3 November), where it recently opened a new office.
