In a promising development for glioblastoma patients, Italian researchers at the CNR’s Institute of Translational Pharmacology (Cnr-Ift), in collaboration with the Artoi Foundation and with epidemiological support from Policlinico Gemelli, have conducted a pioneering investigation into the use of natural compounds alongside chemotherapy.
This human-based study, recently published in the journal Cancers, involved 72 adult patients and explored the combined effects of curcumin and polydatin in enhancing the effectiveness of standard chemotherapy.
