Italian pastry still rises to the highest level in the world. In fact, the team of Italian pastry chefs took third place at the World Pastry Cup, or La Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie 2023 held some days ago in Lyon. The world stage saw 17 nations competing as they reached the final stage of the competition. The first-place winner was Japan. Second place for France.
The Italian team – made up of Martina Brachetti, Alessandro Petito, and Jacopo Zorzi – had the technical direction of Emmanuele Forcone and the supervision of Club Italia President Alessandro Dalmasso. The coaches of the Italian team are Francesco Boccia, Fabrizio Donatone (who, like Forcone, are 2015 World Champions), Massimo Pica, Lorenzo Puca, and Andrea Restuccia (2021 World Champions).
