In order to promote and educate Americans on the traditions and quality of authentic Italian food and wine, the Italian Trade Agency announces the From Italy to Your Table tour, a series of educational and promotional dinner events in 10 cities across the US throughout the summer. The events, executed in some of America’s authentic Italian restaurants, aim to educate trade, media, and industry key players on Italian Denominations of Origin.
“This is one of the most important missions of the Italian Trade Agency: to explain to the American professional as well as to consumers what the Denominations of Origin are, how they came about, the process and certifications and inspections they are subjected to in order to obtain products of exceptional quality and value, tasty, healthy, pure, unlike any others. We aim to show Americans how to taste, cook, eat, savor these products and, eventually, make them a part of their daily meals,” says Italian Trade Commissioner Antonino Laspina
