An upscale Italian restaurant will be joining Knoxville's dining lineup when Merelli's Italian Cuisine opens in Bearden later this summer. Misty Mills said Friday that she and co-owner Rocky Davis, are shooting for a soft opening of the establishment, probably in late July.
Executive Chef Tom Porter, whose cooking experience includes Mediterranean- and Portuguese-style in restaurants in New England and on yachts in Europe, said Merelli's will be a fine dining restaurant with a focus on authentic Italian cuisine.
