Urethane colorant and additive specialist Repi SpA has a new management structure in the U.S., and is also planning to expand its production site near Gastonia, NC. The new team includes general manager Jeff Bailey, lab manager Lee Atchley and production manager Carl Keller. All are external hires with polyurethane industry experience. The company is also looking to add to its sales team.
According to Giorgio Rolla, commercial director for polyurethanes at the Italian-headquartered company, business in North America is growing. The capacity increase is required to meet customer demands. "We already have the land to expand the Gastonia plant," Rolla said. "First, we need all these new people to integrate, so it will be next year sometime. We need to expand to meet demand across the board."
