The Italian native began her acting career decades ago. Edie starred in an array of dramas and films, but her big catch was appearing in the TV drama titled "The Sopranos."It is safe to say that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in the case of the actress. Eldie's genes reeked of a career in the entertainment industry. Her father was an Italian art-director, and her Swedish mom was an actress. The family lived in Brooklyn and welcomed their daughter, Edie Falco in 1963.
Before bagging her "The Sopranos" role as Carmela Soprano, the Brooklyn born starred as a correction officer in HBO's crime drama; "Law & Order and Homicide. The life-changing role as Carmela enjoyed the unique actress delivery of a dedicated wife and mother. The drama centred on the Soprano family, its intricacies focuses on the wife of Tony, Carmela, but also on her criminal husband who later sought the help of a psychiatrist.
