Area residents may be happy to hear that a long trip to the big apple or Italy may not be necessary in order to get the type of "pie" one can only find at one of those two places, David Affrunti said.
Affrunti, owner and head chef of Corelli's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, is not talking about fruit pie, however, but authentic New York-style, Sicilian "pizza pie" — the kind with the super-thin crust with loads of fresh toppings, cheese and homemade and "very authentic" Sicilian-style sauce he cooks fresh every day.
