A magnificent race that led to an absolute triumph. Sandra Mairhofer literally dominates the European Cross Triathlon Championships held in Molveno in Trentino Alto Adige. A performance, that of the Italian, which projects her into the Olympus of this discipline and gives Italy a wonderful continental title.

Already World Champion of Winter Triathlon, Sandra proved to be the master also of the summer off-road discipline winning a precious gold medal that makes her rich season even more exciting. Marta Menditto obtained the 7th place overall that allows her to conquer the silver medal among the Under 23. Italy smiles also in the men's field with Federico Spinazzè on the third step of the Under 23 podium.

A real Italian triumph also in the junior race that opened the day of the European Championships. The 17-year-old Giulia Saiu conquered a splendid European title: an authoritative race that allowed her to arrive alone on the finish line of Molveno. The Italian women's triumph is completed with the bronze medal of Matilde Dal Mas.
