Congratulations to the 2016 Italian American Citizen's Club Bocce Ball champs, the unpretentiously named, "Dream Team!" Led by Paul "The Hitter" Doyle the DT defeated the resilient "Team Postmen" in a five-match set, three games to two. It was a battle for the ages as the fifth and deciding game was a narrow 11-10 victory for the Dream Teamers.

Stepping up big time for the DT were Pete "Mr. Metro Carpets" Robinson, Riche "married 43 years this year to his trophy wife Toni-Marie" Cremone, Johnny & Danny Marisnelli, Tom Czar and Paul "Hitman" Doyle. The "Postmen" were led by former Ward 4 Councilor Billy Coleman and the pride of East Boston Lenny Tescione. Malden High School Sports Hall of Famer Shawn Brickman's squad was denied a chance for a "three-peat" earlier in the playoffs.
