by Little Italy Association of San Diego
One of our most popular annual events, Taste of Little Italy returns June 17. This is a unique opportunity to experience Little Italy's Italian and eclectic eateries as you stroll through the neighborhood's flower-lined sidewalks, enjoying live music at the various Piazzas and you taste samples throughout the Little Italy neighborhood. Tickets always sell out, so we recommend you purchase yours early online.
Taste of Little Italy ticket-holders can go from restaurant-to-restaurant with a Taste Passport, which lists participating restaurants and each location's specific menu offering. It's an easy walk, with no shuttles required. After each "bite," restaurant staff will marks off the stop on the passport and then it's off to the next "bite!" Taste of Little Italy offers three routes for passports - a South Route and a North Route, each featuring over a dozen different restaurants. A single route is priced at $30* and the Combined Routes is priced at $45*.
Each year over 30 restaurants participate. The current restaurant consist of: 98 Bottles, Bencotto, Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, Bracero Cocina de Raiz, Buon Appetito, Cafe Zucchero/Trattoria Fantastica, Chef Deborah Scott’s Indigo Grill, Caffe Italia, The Cheese Store of San Diego, CookBook Tavola Calda, Craft & Commerce, Davanti Enoteca, Enoteca Style, Filippi's Pizza Grotto, Ironside Fish & Oyster Bar, Isola Pizza Bar, James Coffee Co., Kettner Exchange, Mimmo's Italian Village, Mona Lisa Italian Foods, Monello, Nosh Delicatessen, Pan Bon, Petrini's, Po Pazzo, Puerto La Boca, Queenstown Public House and Yogurtland. As more restaurants opt in, we'll keep the website updated, and the official North, South rand Combined Routes will be announced sometime in May.
