Mario is responsible for yet another milestone. An Italian-American plumber, the product of a Japanese concoction, a man so diverse he's almost an icon for multi-culturalism, Mario may prove to be the saving grace for Nintendo by selling over a million copies on the Wii U.

Mario has achieved a considerable amount in his life time. His popularity has led to a generation of young children speaking in an admittedly terrible Italian accent, suffering terrible concussions from jumping into bricks and hoping for giant coins to pop out (or was it just us?).
