When Sarah Jessica Parker launched her new shoe collection backed by Manolo Blahnik CEO George Malekemus last fall, she Instagrammed a trail of rainbow-colored stilettos from the stoop to the street outside 66 Perry St., her fictional "Sex and the City" West Village brownstone — charming her fans but outraging the neighbors. One blog wrote that it was time for SJP to get her own showroom. Well, thanks to an equally glamorous Italian commercial broker — she did.
Francesco Bardazzi, executive vice president of PD Properties, found SJP a 3,000-square-foot space at 156 Fifth Ave. The opening date is slated for February's Fashion Week (Feb. 12-19), though the showroom is still under construction.
