Happy National Meatball Day. Whether you prefer a classic dish of spaghetti and meatballs, or crave a meatball sub for lunch, you’ll generally find the glorious orbs drenched in sauce, whether homemade or jarred sauces from the grocery store. According to Statistica, nearly 270 million Americans turned to jarred pasta sauces during 2020.
Just before the pandemic struck, Cleveland’s Best reporters Yadi Rodriguez and Brenda Cain tasted 174 jars of pasta sauce found in grocery and big-box stores, and ranked them worst to best.
