On a wall at the Hill Neighborhood Center is a photo of a jubilant mob outside a tavern, cheering the surrender of Germany on May 8, 1945.

So who were all those smiling people? Identity hunters at the center want to know. The enlarged photo is one of several thousand pictures donated since the new center put out word that it wants to catalog life on the Hill.
