The D.C. region could be in store for a potentially heavy dose of sviluppo economico, at least for those real estate developers, landlords and government officials who know the Italian translation for economic development.

That's the goal of an international pact forged by D.C.-based Lang Strategies LLC and Italian firm Marazzi & Advisors, which are teaming up to help foreign-based businesses expand into the U.S. The partnership isn't only focused on the D.C. region, but the Washington area is expected to be a prime beneficiary as the relationship matures.
