The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) and Aspen Institute Italia have signed a comprehensive framework agreement titled "USA and Italy: Common History, Common Values, Common Future" aimed at promoting and strengthening relations between the United States and Italy.
The agreement was announced during the international conference "US and Europe: A New Transatlantic Agenda" held in Washington, D.C., and organized by Aspen Institute Italia in partnership with the Embassy of Italy in the United States.
The three-year partnership, beginning in 2026, will feature a series of meetings on economic, institutional, and values-based themes to be held alternately in Italy and the United States. Aspen Institute Italia and NIAF will collaborate to determine the format, agenda, and organizational structure for each event.
"This partnership represents a natural evolution of our shared commitment to strengthening the bonds between the United States and Italy," said NIAF President and CEO Robert Allegrini. "Through this collaboration, we will create meaningful opportunities for dialogue and exchange that honor our common heritage while addressing contemporary challenges."
The initiative builds on both organizations' long-standing dedication to fostering US-Italy relations and promoting cultural and economic exchange between the two nations.
