Italy’s hidden villages will light up on Sunday, August 10, 2025, as dozens of small towns take part in the annual "Borgo dei Desideri" — the Village of Wishes — in celebration of the Night of San Lorenzo. From sunset through the early morning hours, this nationwide event invites visitors to slow down, reflect, and express their personal hopes under a sky full of falling stars.

This year’s theme, “If I were… I would…”, encourages guests to embrace their imagination and put their desires into words. In over 120 participating towns, historic squares, fountains, gardens, and courtyards will be transformed into spaces of reflection. Visitors are invited to write a wish and leave it in a designated place within the village — turning everyday corners into symbolic spots of possibility and hope.
