On May 23rd in Manhattan, Dolores Alfieri, Director of Italian American Affairs, Office of the Governor, coordinated a gathering for the Italian American community to acquire information regarding the New York State grant application process for nonprofit organizations. NOIAW Chair Maria Tamburri and Communications and Development Manager Eileen Condon attended this meeting, along with more than thirty officers of other Italian American nonprofits in New York.

Representatives from the New York State Grants Gateway and the New York State Council for the Arts (NYSCA), as well as State Nonprofit Organizations managers, made presentations. While some of our fellow Italian American nonprofits were already familiar with the Gateway, most were not.
