
The Nutley-Belleville Columbus Day and Italian Heritage Month Parade Committee's Annual Taste of Italy Dinner will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Nutley Parks and Recreation Building, 44 Park Ave.The event begins with open seating and a buffet-style serving of signature dishes from more than 25 Italian restaurants. It's an Italian Food Festival with authentic Italian specialties and desserts. Bring your own bottle of wine to enjoy the food.
There will also be gift prizes, raffles and music. Each year, the committee honors distinguished Italian-Americans to bring attention to the contributions of Americans of Italian decent to our towns, the State of New Jersey and worldwide. Tickets are $25 per person and $12 for children 6- to 12-years-old. To purchase tickets, call Melissa and Vito Matturro at 973- 661-9234. There will be no refunds or tickets sold at the door. Chairperson for this year's 34th Nutley-Belleville Columbus Parade is Edie Peters Liguori, assisted by Co-Chairperson Bill Freda.
