Where else can you get a meatball bigger than a softball? At Alla Famiglia, it arrives in a red sea of marinara, stuffed with mozzarella then covered with a blanket of provolone and garnished with a dash of chopped parsley. It's pillowy soft but still comes with a giant steak knife.
When you see a plate like this, you half expect to hear Dean Martin's "That's Amore" in the background and a guy with a pinkie ring at the next table offering you a sip from his bottle of Sambuca.
