Vin Santo, a homey Italian restaurant owned by Gregg and Clarissa Edwardsen, has been open since 1998 at 7462 Hubbard Ave. in Middleton. The decor is classic small town Wisconsin (antlers on the walls, portrait of Frank Sinatra) and the menu is full of familiar Italian standards like bruschetta, caprese salad, linguine with pancetta and shrimp, and chocolate chip cannoli. 

"We see a lot of the same people," Gregg Edwardsen said. "I’m not presumptuous enough to think we’re an institution, but we have a very loyal customer base."
