Madeline will be preparing a feast in the Avellino-style of cooking which her grandmother brought with her from Italy. The signature dish will be the 'dolce' Pastiera, a type of sweet custard/pasta that is prepared in this region.

As if cooking isn't enough, Madeline will be sharing photos and stories of her journeys back to the Avellino Province of the Campania Region. She will be discussing how she found her Italian family, and preview two short videos showing her Italian family teaching her the dishes being presented at this lunch.

Antipasti: Pugliese bread and sweet peppers, lightly brushed with olive oil and slow roasted, regional cheese and green salad
Primi Piatte: Orrecchiete pasta with broccoli
Secondi Piatte: Sweet Italian sausage and fava beans cooked with diced tomatoes and onions
Dolce: Pastiera, a type of sweet custard/pasta that is prepared in this region.
