As you might have guessed, this month we have been focusing on the island of Sardinia. This beautiful island has captured the heart and minds of many -- one such person being Fabrizio de Andre who once said "Life in Sardinia is probably the best a man can wish: twenty-four-thousands kilometers of forests, countryside, shores immersed in a miraculous sea, this corresponds to what I would suggest God to give us as Paradise."

In addition to its natural beauty, it also happens to be home to local artisans, who are preserving the islands local traditions for future generations to enjoy. This is something I am personally passionate about promoting and luckily, so is ITALY Magazine. I first interviewed a jeweler, Giancarlo, who's work focuses on the fine Sardinia filigree and now we feature our second artisan of this new series.
