For people over 65, the best city to live in is Bolzano, in Trentino-Alto Adige. Among the cities that offer the most opportunities for residents aged 18 to 35, Gorizia in Friuli Venezia Giulia stands out, holding the top spot for the second year in a row. Meanwhile, Lecco in Lombardy, Siena in Tuscany, and Aosta in the Aosta Valley take the top three spots in the ranking that measures children's well-being.

These are the top ten lists from the "Quality of Life by Age Group" survey, which separately measures the well-being of seniors, young adults, and children across Italy. Of the thirty provinces ranking highest across the three lists, 17 belong to the northeastern macro-region. Another ten are in the northwest, two are in central Italy, and one is in the South (the latter three appear specifically in the index dedicated to children ages 0 to 14).
