The stars of Charles Messina's A Room of My Own, a production of the Abingdon Theatre Company, met the press on January 19. Directed by the author, the show begins previews February 13 at the June Havoc Theatre, with opening night set for February 25. The run is scheduled to conclude March 13.
A Room of My Own is a semiautobiographical work in which Messina recounts growing up in an eccentric Italian-American family in Greenwich Village. Ralph Macchio (The Karate Kid) plays Carl Morelli, a writer reminiscing about his adolescence in the cramped apartment that he shared with his family.
