Al DiBrito of St. Joseph wants to bring a little bit of Italy back to Benton Harbor. He and a group of Italian lovers formed the Little Italy Historical Park Project, which recently received its nonprofit status. The group can be contacted through its Facebook page or by email at lihpbh@gmail.com.

DiBrito, the president, said people don't have to be of Italian descent to join the group, which meets once a month. "All it is is Italian fellowship to promote Italian culture," he said. "It's a neighborhood that we're trying to hang onto. It's a positive ethnic thing."
