A 56,250 euro label sold for three times its initial estimate. In an auction in which the sum of 376,625 euros was reached for 132 bottles. The wine that turns the heads of collectors around the world, managing to move record figures, is located in the heart of Tuscany: we are talking about Masseto - from the Frescobaldi Group - brother of another winery that is a symbol of excellence, Ornellaia.

We are in Bolgheri, one of the most representative Made in Italy appellations and territories: in 1350 hectares are concentrated some of the world's most prestigious labels, from Argentiera to Guado al Tasso to Sassicaia. Prominent among them is Masseto, which boasts one of the most coveted vaults of all time, with priceless value. Which holds cellar gems that the whole world envies us.

For the occasion, collectors arrived from all over Europe, the Americas and Asia: up for grabs were 132 bottles offered in various formats. The main lot was the 2010 Nebuchadnezzar, which sold for 56,250 euros, tripling the initial estimate and setting a new record for Masseto at auction.

Over the years Masseto has earned a unique place in the pantheon of collectible wines, eventually becoming one of the most prized and coveted wines.
