Rick Aiello, son of the remembered Danny Aiello, died of pancreatic cancer Monday at a hospital in upstate New York. He was 65 years old and an actor, like his father. Aiello worked in more than sixty movies and series, the most remembered of which is Do the Right Thing, by Spike Lee, in which he appeared alongside his father.
For that 1989 classic, Danny received an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Salvatore Sal Fragione. For his part, Rick played Officer Long, a role that he would reprise two years later in Love fever and madness, also from Lee. Rick Aiello worked on more than sixty movies and series.
