An unexpected promotion for a city that has been facing a very difficult juncture in the last several years. According to the new European Attractiveness Survey by EY, a multinational professional services firm, Rome has entered for the first time the top 10 list of the most attractive cities in Europe for foreign direct investments.
While the positions at the top are hardly surprising with London, Paris and Berlin respectively in first, second and third place, the addition of the Italian capital just behind Brussels and Madrid is definitely a development as surprising as it is encouraging.
