
Sal Fontana of Bremerton, Washington went to be with the Lord at the age of 80 on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Sal served honorably in the Army and was awarded the Korean Service Medal. For many years afterward, he was the owner of Lupita’s Mexican Restaurant on Kitsap Way.
He was a longtime member of Abundant Life Church, an original member of the Sons of Italy Club of Bremerton, and a member of the Optimists Club of America. Sal was very influential in several other charities throughout Kitsap County.
