Schools in brief: Seniors of Italian heritage offered grant

MOUNT PLEASANT – High school seniors of Italian heritage who are graduating in June 2013 are invited to apply for the annual $1,000 academic and/or $1,000 Joe DiMaggio sports award scholarship given by the Mount Pleasant Italian American Association of Thornwood.
Students must live in the town of Mount Pleasant. Applications are available in the Mount Pleasant high schools. These awards are also extended to Mount Pleasant students who attend private or parochial schools. Students must apply by April 15. For applications or further information call 914-769-5699.
