Fighting Paisano is a nickname invented by the great American war journalist Ernie Pyke for a kid from Ciociaria who - thanks to his dual citizenship - was able to fight with the allies for the liberation of his homeland from Nazi-Fascism. Many young Italian-Americans just like him decided to enlist in the American army to contribute to the freeing of their country.
