
US Senate candidate Tony Monetti will be visiting West Plains on April 2.The Republican Senate candidate will be at the West Plains Civic Center from 6-8 pm that day. The conservative Republican will be discussing his platform and goals if elected to the US Senate.
The eldest son of Italian immigrants, Monetti graduated the Air Force Academy and flew a B-52 during Operation Desert Storm and a B-2 bomber during the Kosovo Conflict. While in the military, Monetti and his wife Penny founded Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County. Tony also started a restaurant, wrote successful Christian-themed books with his wife, and went to work as the University of Central Missouri aviation director.
