Learn how to make hand-made pasta the authentic way Italian people do in Emilia-Romagna! A promotional tasting of the pasta will follow. Presented on the occasion of the 2nd Italian Cuisine Week in the World, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago. This free demonstration-style workshop on making fresh pasta, with the historical introduction of Massimo Montanari (Food Historian University of Bologna Alma Mater), will be led by the "Marietta" teacher from Casa Artusi, the center dedicated to Italian homecooking which bears the name of Pellegrino Artusi, worldwide known for his "Science in the Kitchen and the Art of Eating Well, the first modern Italian cookbook, and often called the father of Italian cuisine.
