Fulton County Sheriff Richard Giardino was presented with the Honorable Anthony V. Cardona Award by the Capital Region Italian-American Bar Association March 21 at the Rotterdam Elks Lodge. The award is for contributions to the legal profession. Giardino is a former Fulton County Court judge and county district attorney.
The late Anthony V. Cardona, who passed away in 2011, was presiding judge of the state’s Third Judicial Department, which comprised 26 counties. Former state Supreme Court Justice Richard Aulisi presented the award to Giardino at the association’s annual dinner.
