You are cordially invited to attend a special live performance by Italian jazz singer, Simona De Rosa this Saturday evening, May 9th at the Italian American Museum. Simona De Rosa is the new Mediterranean jazz voice in the United States. My Travel is the title of her debut recording, a project conceived and developed with Gennaro Esposito.
The two Neapolitan musicians met after a gig in New York and soon after decided to pay tribute to their Neapolitan roots through an album, through the experiences collected in New York, Madrid and Naples. They began working together and after eight months of hard work between Naples and New York, they created My Travel. The album features some of the most popular songs of the Neapolitan repertoire, elegantly arranged with a jazzy and Mediterranean flavor and sung with the sensibility of Simona.
The project has been supported by the Federazione delle Associazioni Regione Campania nel Mondo and Figli di Pomigliano d' Arco.
