Husband-and-wife duo Russ and Lee Tuman became regular customers at Ristorante Mulino when it first opened in Southlake in May 2017. “A nice family started this restaurant and they were from New York, so they started this restaurant—it was kind of their dream,” Russ said. “Lee and I started coming here when this place opened, and we really enjoyed it.”
Earlier this year circumstances caused the restaurant’s original owners to sell, so the Tumans said they took the opportunity to make it their dream and bought Ristorante Mulino in March. “We still have the same chef,” Russ said. “He was born and raised abroad; he was trained overseas, lived in New York and came down with the family that opened up the restaurant. So when their situation changed and we bought, we convinced him to stay
with us.”
