The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Chapter of UNICO, in collaboration with St. Bartholomew's Church and St. Bartholomew's Academy, announces the milestone return of the 50th Annual Italian Festival. The vibrant celebration of community, culture, and culinary delights is set to take place from August 30 to Sept. 2, 2024, at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church (2032 Westfield Ave. in Scotch Plains).
A beloved tradition since 1974, the festival honors San Nicola di Bari, the patron saint of the town of Montazzoli, Italy, the ancestral home of a significant portion of Scotch Plains residents. Over the Labor Day weekend, residents from Scotch Plains, Fanwood, and surrounding communities come together to revel in the festivities, creating cherished memories that span generations.
