Thanksgiving marks an extra special day for Succasunna resident Martha Rose Brucato, who celebrated her 100th birthday on Nov. 24. Brucato earlier marked her centennial at La Strada restaurant in Randolph on Oct. 22 with 50 family members and friends.

At 100-years young, she is still very active. She reads the newspaper from cover to cover, works on crossword puzzles in her spare time, loves to knit, was an avid cook until age 94, and remains smart as a whip.
