Mayor Sefatia Romeo Theken was out and about Friday with a group of Sicilian singers and members of Gloucester's Italian-American community. Stops around the city including Caffe Sicilia — a picture of which was seen on her official Twitter account — and the Cape Ann museum.
There, Museum Executive Director Ronda Faloon said, the mayor led a tune for her guests in the native tongue of her heritage. Faloon said the group enjoyed the tour — and that there was a lot of laughing. In greeting the museum visitors herself, Faloon said she asked the singers to showcase their talents — adding that they hummed a few bars.
