The Municipal Pinacoteca of San Gimignano opens an exhibition completely devoted to the Umbrian painter Bernardino di Betto, better known as Pinturicchio or even Pintoricchio, to the public from September 6th to January 6th , 2015. "Pintoricchio.
La Pala dell'Assunta di San Gimignano e gli anni senesi" (the "Altarpiece of San Gimignano and his Siena Years") is the title of the exhibition that initiates a larger project aiming to promote the masters and masterpieces present in the civic collections, in view of Siena's candidacy as a European Capital of Culture in 2019.
