Tom Morello, 59, one of the world's greatest guitarists, received honorary citizenship of Pratiglione today. Best known for being the guitarist for Rage Against the Machine and numerous other international bands, he discovered his family history in 2008. Of those Morellos who, having left the small town in the Gallenca Valley, found their fortune in the States.
He obtained a bachelor's degree with honors from Harvard University and soon devoted himself to music, becoming one of the world's leading guitarists. After the presentation of honorary citizenship and the keys to Pratiglione, a monument dedicated to the guitarist was also unveiled in the school square, and he was literally overwhelmed by fans, with whom he took souvenir photos and signed autographs throughout the afternoon.
