With the end of 2015 coming closer, Swide wants to have a look at all the best Italian movies we have seen this year. From Oscar winning director Paolo Sorrentino's Youth to Italian first-timer Piero Messina's movie The Wait, no doubt this has been a great year for the Italian cinematic scene. So, while waiting to see what's next in 2016, let's recall with Swide 10 of the best Italian movies from 2015.
Luca Guadagnino's A Bigger Splash is the remake of the 1969 Jacques Deray's La Piscine – Swimming Pool starring Alain Delon, Romy Schneider and Jane Birkin. This is the story of a rock star and a filmmaker (Matthias Schoenaerts and Swinton) whose vacation is unexpectedly disrupted by the visit of an old friend and his daughter (Ralph Fiennes and Dakota Johnson).
